Texas Co-op Power magazine is a widely distributed publication celebrating Texas culture, history, and lifestyle, reaching over 3 million readers through electric cooperatives. The magazine features engaging stories, practical tips, and stunning photography that capture the essence of Texas life.
Texas Co-op Power wanted to expand its reach by creating an engaging digital experience that mirrored the quality and aesthetic of its print publication. The goal was to ensure that high-quality photography and engaging content translated well to an online format while also providing location-specific content to readers based on their cooperative membership. Additionally, the magazine needed a way to offer full editions for download without compromising accessibility.
In collaboration with their magazine designer, I helped transform Texas Co-op Power’s online presence by developing a website that seamlessly integrated with their print identity. Key enhancements included:
We maintained the look and feel of the print magazine by incorporating typography, colors, and layouts that aligned with the publication’s branding.
Large imagery and interactive galleries were implemented to bring the magazine’s visual storytelling to life.
A login system was developed to provide customized articles based on users’ electric cooperative membership, ensuring relevance for every reader.
Readers can now browse articles online or download full PDFs of the magazine, making content easily accessible on different platforms.
The redesigned Texas Co-op Power website successfully bridges the gap between print and digital, delivering an engaging experience that aligns with the magazine’s reputation for high-quality storytelling. By enhancing usability and incorporating interactive elements, the new website keeps readers engaged while ensuring they can easily access and explore the magazine’s content.
